Ingredients and substitutions

  • Sesame oil – use a neutral oil in place of sesame oil.
  • Soy sauce – coconut aminos or tamari sauce are great alternatives to soy sauce.

Storing and reheating

These delicious spicy honey garlic noodles are meal prep friendly! Store these noodles in individual servings in airtight containers. Once stored in the fridge, it will last for up to five days. Storing this recipe in individual servings allows it to be an easy grab and go lunch option and makes reheating much easier.

When ready to reheat, microwave a serving for 1-2 minutes or until fully warmed. Make sure to sprinkle some water overtop the rice noodles to ensure they don't dry out when reheating.

Freezing this recipe

Freezing any leftover spicy garlic noodles is completely optional! The noodles will freeze and reheat well, however, it is important to note that when reheating, the peppers may become mushy and lose their texture. If you're preparing this dish as a freezer recipe, an option is to keep the peppers out until after you reheat the noodles, otherwise just proceed with freezing regularly.

To freeze, transfer individual servings into glass airtight containers. Allow the noodles to cool to room temperature and then freeze for up to 2 months. When ready to enjoy, sprinkle some water overtop the noodles and microwave for 5-6 minutes, stirring half way through. You can also transfer the container to the fridge overnight and then reheat the thawed dish in the microwave for 1-2 minutes until fully warmed.
